The Banquet Facility
The Hines Center, located 5 miles east of Owensboro on Highway 54 in Philpot, KY offers an incredible facility for any type of gathering. The Hines Center Ballroom can accommodate any type of banquet or meeting event including corporate events, weddings, receptions, dances, class reunions, formal dinners, musical performances, seminars, workshops and other special occasions. The ballroom is 17,900 sq. ft. and we have a large 4,500 sq. ft. front foyer that can be utilized for event highlights such as art displays, cocktail hour, or silent auctions. With almost 60,000 sq. ft. and a large front foyer that can be utilized for event highlights such as art displays, passing of appetizers, bar or even a silent auction, even the largest events seem open and airy. The staff at The Hines Center is second to none and would be delighted to assist you with your event needs.

The Hines Center, Inc. holds a liquor license and will be responsible for all sales of distilled spirits and malt beverages. The type of bar set up must be ordered by Lessee at least 4 weeks prior to the event. Options include cash bar, open bar, company supplied tickets (open bar), open bar for dinner only, or open bar wine and beer only. (There are many formats to having a bar so please let us know what will best suit your event.) There is a Host Bartender fee of $40.00 for the first hour and $20.00 for each additional hour for each bartender needed.
NOTE: By Kentucky law, alcoholic beverages are not permitted to be brought into the Facility. Alcoholic beverages served to Admitted Persons must be purchased from the Lessor (The Hines Center), and must be consumed on premises. NO alcoholic beverages can leave the building. All bartenders have been trained in the alcohol awareness S.T.A.R. training program required by the state, and Lessor reserves the right to refuse to serve any person in its discretion.
Professional caterers are to be used who have signed The Hines Center Catering Agreement and provided documentation for compliance with Health Department regulations and coverage by
Insurance. A 15% service charge will be paid to The Hines Center which is billed out to the individual or organization hosting the event through the caterer.
$450.00 will book the day before the main event for the client’s use such as decorating, set up, rehearsals, etc. If you want to plan a rehearsal dinner additional fees would apply. This will exclude other events from using the facility before your booked event.

Methods of Payment
All deposits are paid when booking the event and are non-refundable. Room rental payments or any other money owed would be paid one month prior to your event. Liquor is billed and due 30 days from date of event.Transactions may be paid in the form of cash, check or credit card.
